Margo Loutzenhiser scored 24 points in a win over Corry on Thursday.

CORRY, Pa. – After a week off from game action and no practice on Wednesday, Warren coach Lisa LaVan was slightly concerned that her team may come out a little sluggish on the road against Corry on Thursday.

Quite the opposite happened, as it turned out.

Warren rattled off the first 20 points of the game and rolled to a 69-23 win.

“It was good to get back at it and play a game,” said Warren coach Lisa LaVan. “I’m happy with our performance after a day off. Sometimes you can be a little sluggish.”

Margo Loutzenhiser poured in 24 points and Emma Ruhlman 19 for the Lady Dragons (13-1 overall, 4-1 Region 6).

In the process, Loutzenhiser moved passed Jaimie Eaton (1,330) into third on the program’s career scoring list with 1,342 points and is now within striking distance of Julie McChesney’s (1,436) record.

In total, 14 Lady Dragons saw the court in the win.

Loutzenhiser also had nine rebounds and five assists and Riley Childress five assists to go along with her 14 points.

Rachel Brady led Corry (3-10, 0-5) with nine points.

Warren returns to action Saturday at Meadville, followed by a home battle with Fort LeBoeuf on Monday.
