Mercer scored the first 19 points of the game en route to a 54-19 win over Sheffield in the nightcap of the Sheffield Sports Boosters Tip-Off Tournament.

Ten different players scored for the winners.

Emily Leichtenberger and Annabel Sheldon had six points each for Sheffield.

“Youth and inexperience showed up tonight,” said Sheffield coach Brandon Troutman. “We didn’t handle press well early on. Over 20 first half turnovers tell anyone all they need to know. We were pushed out of our comfort zone early in all phases of the game and it hurt us.”
