Youngsville wrestlers drop match to Cochranton
Collin Clough (120), Sam Hoover (195) and Jake DeSimone (heavyweight) all earned victories via pin in Youngsvile’s 59-18 loss to Cochranton on Tuesday.
“Collin Clough racked up 5 takedowns before sticking his kid,” noted Youngsville coach Paul Clough. “Senior Sam Hoover scored a takedown and pin in the second period after securing a takedown and a pair of nearfalls in the first. Jake DeSimone capped off the evening with a pin at heavyweight.”
Clough also noted the battle from newcomer Devon Morris, who fought off his back multiple times preventing the pin and only surrender 5 team points for a tech fall.
“We’re a young team with a lot of new wrestlers,” Clough said. “The kids have a lot of fight and are getting better every day.”
Youngsville returns to action on Thursday at Cambridge Springs.
