Sheffield goes 1-4 at Ridgway Duals
RIDGWAY, Pa. – The Sheffield Wolverines traveled to the Ridgway Duals on Saturday, going 1-4.
“I thought the boys wrestled hard this weekend and if two injuries didn’t occur we would of went 3-2 for the weekend,” said Sheffield coach Jack Rice. “We a had several individual performances that stood out. “Sophomore phenom Ethan Finch ran through the dual tournament with a 5-0 record with impressive victories over Northern Bedford’s Austin Mowery who is coming off a 21-match win season last year and an impressive fall over Johnsonburg’s Tyler Watts who had 23 wins last season.
“This young man continues to improve and impress me.”
Other Wolverines who had an impressive showing were heavyweight Nick Knowles who went 4-1. First year wrestler Christian Richetti went 4-0 and despite dealing with a hip injury
Junior Kevin Marfink went 2-1 fighting through a leg nerve injury.
