TCCS sweeps Venango Catholic

Tidioute Charter earned a sweep at Venango Catholic Monday.

The Bulldogs won 25-12, 25-8 and 27-25. Strong serving powered Tidioute to victory as the team combined for 20 aces on the night.

Nakiesha Krouse and Kelsey Nuttal led the way with six aces apiece. Krouse added four kills and five digs, while Nuttall had a pair of digs in the win.

Angelina Sabella had six kills for the Bulldogs-who moved to 5-7 on the year with the win. Brooke Martin had five digs, four kills and an ace, while Greysen Fors had three aces, two kills, two digs and 16 assists and Shelby Proctor added three aces, two kills and two digs.

TCCS closes out the regular season schedule at home against Union Thursday.

JV: TCCS 2, Venango Catholic 1

Tidioute also won the junior varsity match, 2-1.

The Bulldogs dropped the first set, but came back to win the final two with scores of 19-25, 25-14 and 25-16.

Serving was key again as the team combined for 12 aces in the match.

Shelby Proctor and Julia Blake each finished with four aces. Proctor added three assists and two kills and Blake had a kill in the win. Angelina Sabella had six kills and an ace, Aspen Fors had four assists, two aces and two kills and Kay Rison had two aces and a block for the Bulldogs.

TCCS 3, ROCKY GROVE 1 (Friday)

Tidioute picked up a hard fought 3-1 win over visiting Rocky Grove Friday.

The Orioles won the first set, 25-17, before the Bulldogs came back to win the final three 25-16, 25-21 and 26-24.
