“It was six-nothing with 4:12 left in the first quarter,” said Sheffield head coach Chris Korbar. “And then chaos ensued.”

Sheffield’s struggles with turning the ball over in the first half were only countered by Keystone’s ability to get into the endzone. Of the Wolverines eight offensive drives in the first half, they turned the ball over five times, as well as another fumble on a kickoff return. Of the Panthers’ nine offensive series, they were able to score seven times.

“We want the passing game to be a big part of our offense,” said Korbar. “I’ve been trying to get it to go all year long, but we just keep getting those simple interceptions that keep getting away.”

Jones threw for 173 yards and four touchdowns, two of which went to Keenan Heeter. Nick Weaver punched in two two-yard scores accumulating 92 rushing yards in the process.
