Eadie, Hahn win at Cuba Invitational; Dragons bring home second place team finish

Warren's Naomi Hahn races to victory against Corry and Seneca on Tuesday at the Warren State Hospital grounds.

CUBA, N.Y. – Both the Warren boys and girls cross country teams brought home second place finishes at the 22nd annual Cuba-Rushford Central School Invitational in Cuba, New York Saturday.

Nate Eadie and Naomi Hahn won the boys and girls races, respectively. Graham Carr, Beau Paris and Trenten Dippold finished in the top 10 of the boys race, while Bri Ristau and Kayla Giambrone were top 10 runners for the girls.

“We are running really well right now as a whole,” Warren coach Kevin Dustin said. “(We) are looking to refine some minor aspects of our racing to get ready for districts in a couple weeks.”

The girls finished just one point behind team-winner Penn Yan (52-53), while the boys finished second to Seneca (38-48).

The junior high boys and girls teams also came away with second place finishes. Grant Heeter paced the boys with a second place finish, with Jon Seyler and Holden Creal also placing in the top 10. Lauren Dolan and Audrey Smith had top 10 finishes for the girls.

“Great racing from everyone, junior high and varsity,” Dustin said. “It’s great to come away with so many awards to reward all their hard work.”
