D-10 soccer playoff brackets released
Caleb Lindell and the Warren Dragons will square off with Fort LeBoeuf in the D-10 Class 3A quarterfinals.
District 10 released its soccer playoff brackets on Wednesday, and both the Warren boys and girls, as well as the Eisenhower girls, saw their assignments revealed.
For the Warren boys, they will face a familiar foe in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, squaring off with Fort LeBoeuf at a site and time to be determined.
The two teams met back on Sept. 11, a 2-1 win by LeBoeuf.
The Dragons had a very solid 11-6-1 regular season, finishing in second place in Region 5 behind Slippery Rock. They allowed just 21 goals, fourth best in District 10 behind only Mercer, Greenville and Cathedral Prep.
Speaking of Prep (16-1), that’s who the winner will get in the semifinals on Tuesday, Oct. 30.
On the other side of the bracket, Slippery Rock (12-3-1) gets a bye to the semifinals, where they will meet the winner of General McLane (12-4-1) and Franklin (7-8).

The Warren girls moved to a much tougher region this season and finished 10-8.
For the third straight year, they will meet Meadville (11-7) in the playoffs.
The Lady Bulldogs have got the better of those meetings, and the two teams played twice this regular season – a 5-4 win for the Lady Dragons and a 3-2 Meadville victory.
The semifinal contest is slated for Monday, Oct. 29, at a site and time to be determined.
The other semifinal will see Hickory (17-1) as a heavy favorite against Franklin (4-13).
The championship will take place on Oct. 31.
The Eisenhower girls, meanwhile, have a record of 6-7-1 and will meet Mercer (12-4-1) in a quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday (Oct. 23) at a site and time to be determined.
The two teams met back on Sept. 15, a 4-1 Mercer win.
The top half of that side of the bracket will feature Seneca against the winner of Maplewood and Kennedy Catholic.
Wilmington (14-2-1) is the top seed on the other side of the bracket, and will play Cambridge Springs (4-10-2) in the quarterfinals.
Despite being the No. 2 seed from Region at 9-6-1, Iroquois, because of opt-outs, has a bye all the way to the semifinals, despite Wilmington’s superior record and region finish.
