Youngsville bests Tidioute

In a battle of county foes, it was Youngsville that got the upper hand on Tidioute Thursday.
The Lady Eagles survived a thrilling first set, 26-24, and carried that momentum to a 3-0 (26-24, 25-20, 25-15) win at Youngsville High School.
The win evened the Lady Eagles’ mark at 5-5 overall and improved their record to 2-3 in Region 3.
“Definitely proud of how the played together tonight,” said Youngsville coach Barb Lutton.
It was Tidioute that had the early edge in the first set, jumping out to a 9-6 lead on a pair Kelsey Nuttal aces and a kill by Nakiesha Krouse.
