Eisenhower’s Ethan Chambers had a monster game at Northwestern on Friday, rushing for 234 yards on 34 carries and four touchdowns.

ALBION, Pa. – For the second time this season, it was overtime heartbreak for the Eisenhower Knights.

Actually, this one was in double overtime.

Preston Rusner’s 28-yard field goal in the second extra period lifted host Northwestern to a 37-34 win over Eisenhower in a seesaw affair Friday night.

After Rusner’s field goal attempt in the first overtime was blocked, Eisenhower appeared to win the game on an Ethan Chambers 10-yard run, but the play was called back on a holding penalty and the Wildcats (4-1), were able to get the stop they needed to extend the game.

It was the Ethan Chambers show for the Knights, as the senior back rushed for four touchdowns, including a 2-yarder with 6:23 to go in the fourth quarter, that, coupled with the 2-point conversion tied the game at 34-34.

It was part of a monster effort for Chambers, who rushed for 237 yards on 34 carries.

Northwestern drove to the Eisenhower 31 with inside of a minute left in the fourth quarter, but the Eisenhower (1-4) defense forced a turnover on downs to send the game to overtime.

Leading 20-14 at halftime, Chambers 1-yard plunge gave Ike its biggest lead of the contest at 26-14.

Northwestern rattled off the next 20 points, however, thanks to a pair of Jeremy Dohanic touchdowns runs and a 77-yard punt return by Dawson Fiester.

Dohanic also had a big game, rushing for 102 yards and three scores.
