Eisenhower falls to Union
RIMBERSBURG, Pa. – Eisenhower hit the road to District 9 territory for a battle with Union, and came out on the short end of a 3-0 outcome, 16-25, 26-28, 8-25.
“The girls are geared for teams that hit and attack,” said Eisenhower coach Scott Olson. “We struggled tonight against their free-ball and tip and roll.”
With the first game tied at 16-16, Union, which has lost just once this season, went on a 9-0 run to close it out and then won a thriller in the second.
“We were right in it,” Olson said of the first game. “The second game, we feel like we should have won.”
The third was all Union.
“We didn’t pass very well and made a lot of unforced errors in the third,” he said.
Leading the Lady Knights were Cameran Edwards (3 kills, 6 digs, 1 ace), Currie Hultman (3 aces, 4 kills, 13 digs), Kiara Weber (5 kills, 8 digs, 1 ace) and Caroline Hishman (13 assists).
Eisenhower returns to action today, traveling to Cambridge Springs.
