Corry at Post 135 suspended in third due to rain

A sudden downpour forced Friday’s Senior Legion game between Corry Northwest Savings Bank and Post 135 at Legion Field to be postponed.

Post had just taken the field for the top of the third inning when the skies opened and the rain that had been threatening all game finally arrived. Corry was leading, 3-1, when the teams ran to their dugouts for the initial delay.

After approximately 10 minutes, both coaches and umpires conferred and determined the field was no longer playable even after the rain would cease.

The game will be resumed later in the season, likely as part of a doubleheader. When play begins, Corry will bat in the top of the third.
