Lady Eagles fall to Saegertown

A powerful Saegertown softball team defeated Youngsville 12-1 in five innings on Monday.

Andrea Sveda belted a triple for the Lady Eagles, while Destiny Upton had a base hit.

“They’re (Saegertown) a tough team,” said Youngsville coach Scott Ishman. “It’s a program you strive for yours to be like. We had a slow start today and they got up on us pretty good, but I thought we started playing better ball toward the end.”

Youngsville returns to action today, traveling to Werner Park to take on county rival Eisenhower.
