Youngsville girls top Tidioute
Youngsville jumped out to a 19-3 lead after the first quarter en route to a 54-32 win over Tidioute in the season finale for both teams.
Cait Craig, playing in her final game as a Lady Eagle, finished with a game-high 22 points, while Nakiesha Krouse led Tidioute with 18 while also pulling down seven rebounds.
“I’m very proud of the girls tonight for playing hard and giving 100 percent for the entire game,” said Tidioute coach Christy Valentine. “They have grown a lot this season and playing with only seven players all season, it at times as been a struggle. Tonight the girls executed some great plays but the shots didn’t fall. We have a lot to work on during the off season and will continue to come together as a team. Both teams displayed great sportsmanship tonight and congratulations to both teams seniors.”
Senior Paige Minweaser had 12 points for Youngsville and Sunny Henderson had 10 points and seven rebounds for the Lady Bulldogs. Greysen Fors also pulled down 12 rebounds to go along with her four points.
