“They’re one of the top 2-A teams in the state, they’ve always been a powerhouse,” said Warren coach Russ Beyer. “Being senior night, our kids were pretty amped up to do the best they could and we had a lot of good races and times drops.”

The highlight was Lydia Latimer, who was within a second of setting the school record in the backstroke.

Time drops included Elizabeth Smith (400 free, 7 seconds), Tommy Rice (400 free, 11 seconds), Paige Johnson (100 breaststroke, 1.5 seconds), Seth Harrington (100 breaststroke, 1 second and 100 free, 2 seconds), Cassandra Guiffre (100 free, 5 seconds).

“The senior girls had good races,” noted Beyer. “Sabrina (Johnson) hasn’t swam the 200 free all year and just missed qualifying for districts. Gabby Hahn swam the 100 breaststroke for the second time and did really well. With it being senior night, we switched some things up.”
