Tidioute girls fall to powerhouse North Clarion
The Tidioute Community Charter School girls’ basketball knew they had their hands full with visiting North Clarion Friday night, but head coach Christy Valentine credited her girls with staying true to their game and not letting the score affect their play.
“We knew coming into this game what we were up against,” said Valentine. “So we set team goals. One of ours was to play our game the way we’ve always played. And to play aggressively and to make sure we were taking good shots and taking care of the basketball.”
The Bulldogs weren’t able to stop North Clarion’s Tori Obenrader, as the senior dropped 27 points leading the Wolves to a 65-27 win.
Despite the loss, Valentine highlighted the play of her seniors Hailey Hammerschmitt and Jess Riel.
“They’re only second year players, but they have come a long way,” said Valentine. “They played really hard tonight.
Nakiesha Krouse lead the Bulldogs with ten points, while Greyson Fors and Sunny Henderson attacked the defensive boards with five rebounds apiece.
