Sheffield falls at ECC
ST MARYS – Sheffield dropped a 54-14 AML contest Friday at Elk County, as the Lady Crusaders had control for nearly the entire game.
A Mya Grubbs 3-pointer opened the scoring for the Sheffield, but Elk County followed up with a 20-point run, that bridged the first and second quarters.
“The same mistakes keep plaguing us, but to the kids credit we at least played with some heart, despite some pretty rough offensive possessions,” said Sheffield coach Brandon Troutman.
Sheffield is 2-15, and hosts Johnsonburg on Tuesday.
