OIL CITY – Faith Christian’s transition game proved to be just a little too much for Warren County Christian School on Tuesday, as the Lions fell 65-51.

The Lions actually led by one at the half, but the Faith Christian offense put up 44 points in the second half en route to the win.

“It was really just a matter of them beating us in the transition game,” said WCCS coach Tom Jones. “They really pushed it up and we weren’t able to get back quick enough. They probably had more second chance points than first chance points.”

Jared Younger had another strong game for WCCS, scoring 23 points on 7-of-12 shooting while also pulling down 19 rebounds.

Ethan Kerr had 13 points and Josh Jones notched four steals.

“There were some really good things in the game,” coach Jones said. “We got some strong rebounding from Jared Younger and Ethan Kerr.”

The Lions will look to get back in the win column on Thursday when they host Calvary Baptist.
