Lady Bulldogs fall to Forest

Tidioute’s girls had a full week away from basketball before returning to action Monday against visiting Forest.

The time away showed as Forest grabbed an early lead it would never relinquish in a 56-24 win.

“The ladies were ice cold from the field and couldn’t control the Forest forwards inside,” Tidioute coach Chrity Valentine said. “Forest took off and we couldn’t catch them.”

Forest raced out to a 21-5 lead in the first quarter and held a 31-5 advantage at the midpoint of the game. The Bulldogs had trouble matching up with Forest’s size in the paint.

“Size does matter when you don’t box out,” Valentine said.

Valentine did see some positives after the long layoffl.

“The girls passed the ball better tonight,” she said.

Nakiesha Krouse had a triple-double for the Bulldogs with 11 points, 11 rebounds and 10 steals. Greysen Fors added six points and five rebounds in the loss.

Tidioute will close out its schedule this week when the Bulldogs host Erie First Thursday and take on North Clarion Friday.
