Bulldogs fall to Fort LeBoeuf

WATERFORD – Tidioute will be joining District 10 next season, so the Bulldogs are preparing themselves the best they can.

That included a road trip to Fort LeBoeuf on Thursday, where the Bulldogs fell 49-22.

Despite the setback, coach Terry Cotterman saw plenty to build on.

“I think they did real well,” he said of his team. “You never want to lose 49-22, but this was more physical than anything we’ve seen this year. It’s something we have to adjust to.”

The Bulldogs hung with the Bison early, trailing just 12-6 after the first quarter, but foul trouble allowed LeBoeuf to go on a 21-9 run in the second quarter to take control.

Irvin Comic led a balanced LeBoeuf effort with 16 points.

Julian Gillenwater had 10 points to pace Tidioute, while Patrick Shields had eight rebounds and a pair of blocks.

“The kids worked their tails off the whole game,” Cotterman said. “We slowed the game down the way we wanted to early, but with the foul trouble we had to mix things up a little bit. This was good for us.”

The Bulldogs return to action on Thursday at Cranberry.
