Tidioute edged by Erie First

ERIE – Tidioute traveled to Erie on Thursday and came up just short in a battle against Erie First Christian, 41-38.

The Lady Bulldogs came out of the gate strong, jumping out to a halftime lead.

“The girls played a solid first half despite poor rebounding and led 27-16,” said Tidioute coach Christy Valentine. “Going into the second half the girls let their offense get sloppy and were not patient. Erie First whittled away at our lead and took the lead early in the fourth quarter. Poor foul shooting at the end hurt us. I’m disappointed tonight and I hope the team learns some valuable lessons about not letting up and playing hard till the final buzzer.”

Nakiesha Krouse led Tidioute offensively with 23 points and a whopping 13 steals, while Sunny Henderson had nine points and 12 rebounds.

Valentine also noted another great defensive game from Greysen Fors.

The Lady Bulldogs look to get back in the win column on Thursday when they travel to Union.
