Eisenhower Tajah Warren poured in a career-high 23 points in the Knights' 21-point win over Kane on Monday.

KANE – Eisenhower got off to a slow start Monday in its non-region matchup on Monday against District 9 foe Kane.

They quickly corrected that, however, with Tajah Warren scoring a career-high 23 points as the Knights outscored the Wolves 33-14 in the second half en route to a 57-36 win, their sixth straight.

Another key in the second half was shutting down Kane’s leading scorer, Chad Greville.

The sharp-shooting guard had 12 points in the first half, but was limited to just two in the second as Ike (10-6 overall) pulled away.

“We didn’t play defense in the first half, but we did in the second half and it led to layups,” said Eisenhower coach Ryan Williams. “We played a lot better defense on him (Greville) in the second half.”

Jaydon Hayes, who is among the leaders in District 10 in scoring, had 15 points

Greville was the only Kane player in double figures.

The Knights dropped the JV game, 45-37, with Jared Martone scoring 13 points and Jared Beers 10.

Eisenhower is back in on Wednesday and back in Region 3 at Maplewood.
