District 10, 9 teams litter state hoops rankings

The latest Pennsylvania High School boys basketball rankings were released today by City of Basketball Love on Monday, with teams from District 10 and District 9 littered all over them.

District 10 features the lone representative to be ranked No. 1 as the top team in Class 1A – Kennedy Catholic. They are coming off a win over Youngsville last week.

Other Class 1A teams in the top ten include Elk County Catholic, which beat Sheffield on Monday, at No. 8. Cameron County, Johnsonburg and North Clarion are all ‘Others to Watch.’

In Class 2A, Constitution (Philadelphia) is the top team, with 8-0 and unbeaten Ridgway at No. 8. The Elkers beat Eisenhower 55-38 in December and play at Warren on Feb. 6. Coudersport is at No. 9, while Cambridge Springs, Clarion-Limestone, Keystone and Rocky Grove (which beat Warren 71-64 in the Oil City Holiday Tournament) are all Others to Watch.

In 3A, Greenville checks it an No. 8, with Neumann-Goretti the top ranked team.

Looking at 4A, Grove City dropped from No. 8 and was replaced there by Hickory, which beat them 57-48 last week. Imhotep Charter is the top team with Franklin, Sharon and Grove City Others to Watch.

In 5A, Archbishop Wood is the top ranked team, with Cathedral Prep and Meadville Others to Watch. Warren travels to Meadville on Wednesday.

Plymouth-Whitemarsh is the top ranked team in 6A.
