McCullough a national qualifier

One of the long-standing programs of the Warren County YMCA within its 150 years is the Y’s outstanding swimming program. The swim program teaches youth to adults how to swim. In return, this program turns out excellent athletes like Paige McCullough, a member of the Warren Dolphins swim team.

McCullough is shown here with Warren YMCA CEO Thad Turner. McCullough will be swimming the 100-meter Breaststroke at the National YMCA Swimming Competition on April 6. She qualified for the YMCA State Competition level several times in the past, however this year, her senior year, she had a goal of swimming at YMCA Nationals.

At YMCA West Districts in Penn State, she swam a time of 1:07.92 which got her fourth place in the West District and a National Qualifying Time. YMCA Nationals is in Greensboro, North Carolina.

In support of McCullough, the YMCA Dolphin Swim Team will be hosting a Bake Sale at the Warren County YMCA to help Paige fund her trip. When asked how much the trip will costMcCullough stated “I am not sure but I would like to be able to at least cover the cost it will be to my coaches program and the Y.”
