CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS — A rocky start was too much for Youngsville to overcome in Monday’s 47-21 loss to Cambridge Springs in a Region 3 girls basketball game.

The Lady Eagles were outscored 18-3 in the first quarter and were unable to make up the ground in the second half. Caitlin Craig scored nine points and Kathy Sveda added eight for Youngsville, which falls to 3-5 overall and 2-2 in Region 3.

Sveda also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds while Craig and Paige Mineweaser finished with five boards each. Erin Dunn added a pair of assists and Mineweaser blocked two shots.

Youngsville hosts county rival Eisenhower (4-7 overall, 2-2 in Region 3) on Thursday.
