Post 135 tops Youngsville 15-5 in regular season finale

In the regular season finale for both teams, Post 135 had a strong offensive effort in a 15-5, 6-inning win over Youngsville Post 658.

Post 135 scored four runs in both the second, fourth and sixth inning. Dom Funari had the hit that ended the game with the 10-run rule in the sixth, a 2-run single. It was part of a 3-for-5 effort at the plate for Funari.

On the mound Adam Munksgard was solid in getting the win.

Youngsville scored a pair of runs in both the second and fourth innings and was led at the plate by Logan Bellardo, who went 2-for-3, as well as Levi Hendrickson, who went 2-for-4.

Lance Baldensperger joined Funari with three hits for Post 135, while Derek Knapp, Mark Reiff, Adam Irwin, Nick Hussey and Kohl Nosel all had two hits each in the 17-hit attack.

Seth Baldensperger continued his offensive surge for Post 135 with a double, while Austin Slocum doubled for Youngsville. Nosel and Irwin both tripled as part of their two-hit efforts.

Both teams will enter the postseason on Monday, with Post 135 traveling to take on Corry Northwest Savings Bank, while Youngsville will meet Blair at Old Legion Field.
