Blair keeps flawless Legion record intact

Blair scored in every inning of Friday’s Senior American Legion baseball game against Corry, going on to win by a final score of 12-5 at the Ballpark in Columbus.

Austyn Cummings, Bryce Cummings and Mitch Dorunda all finished with three hits and two runs batted in for Blair, which remains undefeated at 5-0 on the year.

Braidy Blair started on the mound and went five strong innigns before Matt Leonard came in to shut the Bankers down with a scoreless sixth and seventh. Those two combined to hold Corry to just six hits while the offense broke out for 16. Nate Betts also added a double to the winning effort.

Blair will look to strengthen its hold on first place against Post 135 Monday at Old Legion Field in North Warren. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
