Lady Lions edge CCSI, 24-22

SAEGERTOWN The Warren County Christian School Lady Lions battled to a 24-22 win over Crawford Christian School Initiative Tuesday.

Desirae Kerr led the way for the winners with 12 points, eight rebounds and three blocks, while Rachel Brenner had her best game of the young season with 10 points and nine boards.

WCCS built a 16-4 halftime advantage, having to hold off a second half surge by CCSI.

“Tough rebounding helped us get the win,” said WCCS coach Eric Swartzbaugh.

Also contributing for the Lady Lions, who are now 4-2 overall and 3-0 in the New Penn Christian Conference, were Lydia Swartzbaugh (2 points, 6 rebounds), Emma Marino (6 rebounds), Rebekah Erdman (6 rebounds) and McKenna Phelps (4 rebounds).
