WCCS sweeps Forest
TIONESTA – Warren County Christian School swept Forest Area in non-league volleyball action Monday, 25-11, 25-8 and 25-13.
“They played pretty controlled ball tonight which I was glad to see, especially after a week off,” said WCCS coach Monica Kerr. “I thought their passing was very sharp.”
The Lady Lions put together a balanced offensive attack with Rachel Brenner finishing with 12 service points, four aces and three kills; Kate Erdman with seven service points, four kills, two aces, two blocks and three digs; Desirae Kerr with 11 assists, five service points, three aces and two kills; Emily Stowe with 11 service points, four aces and a block; Allison Weidner with six kills, five service points, three aces and one block; and Rebekah Erdman with 13 service points, four digs and two aces.
WCCS also swept the junior varsity match, 25-10 and 25-13.
Rebekah Erdman led with 14 service points, seven assists, four aces and two kills; Allie Marino had seven service points three aces, two kills and one block; Emma Marino had eight service points, two kills and one ace; Lydia Cox had five service points, four digs, one ace, one kill, and one assist; McKenna Phelps had four kills and two service points and Rachel Beatty had three assists and one kill.
The Lady Lions return to action Tuesday at CCSI.
