Warren boys and girls, Ike boys and girls in D10 basketball playoffs
Warren’s boys and girls basketball teams, and Eisenhower’s boys and girls, have qualified for the District 10 playoffs beginning this week.
Eisenhower’s boys basketball team will play North East in Class AA at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fort LeBoeuf High School; Warren’s boys team, in Class AAA, plays Strong Vincent at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Meadville High School; Eisenhower’s girls play in Class A vs. Rocky Grove at 1 p.m. Saturday, also at Meadville High School; and Warren’s girls play General McLane at 1 p.m. Saturday at Fort LeBoeuf High School.
Six out of eight Class A girls teams made the playoffs, so the Lady Knights made the playoffs with a 6-15 record. Ike has a makeup game this week, hosting Maplewood, tentatively scheduled for Wednesday.
Youngsville’s girls team made the playoffs last year as the second Class A seed out of Region 3 at 7-15 overall and lost to Farrell in the first round. Farrell was also 7-15 in the regular season. The Lady Eagles bumped up to Class AA this season and missed out on the playoff with possibly the program’s first winning record since 2004. Youngsville (11-10) hosts Tidioute Charter at 7 p.m. Monday to end the season.
Warren’s girls team earned the Quad-A top seed based on overall winning percentage.
