Warren stays unbeaten with home win over Bradford

Warren’s flawless start to the season continued on Monday night, as the Lady Dragons cruised past Bradford, 54-26, in a non-region game at Warren Area High School.

“It’s good to be home again,” said Warren coach Lisa Ruhlman, whose team improves to 14-0 on the season. “The girls played a good game. This was a nice game to prepare for the second half of the region schedule.”

Bradford was able to hang with Warren in the early going, trailing by only three points after the opening eight minutes. The Dragon offense, led by D.J. Hahn and Paige Wilson, came to life in the second quarter. A 17 point period gave Warren a nine point advantage at the midway point.

Warren would dominate the second half, out-scoring the Lady Owls 30-13 to put the game away.

“I thought we did a good job of coming out and executing our offense in the second half,” Ruhlman said.

Hahn led the Dragons with 17 points. Paige Wilson had another big game, scoring 14 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, and dishing out four assists. Meghan Loutzenhiser and Lizzy Marsh each had six points, with Loutzenhiser adding four assists, and freshman Rachel Wilson added a career-high five points.
