Football campThe Eisenhower Knights football team will be hosting their 11th annual Post 758 Northern Area Youth Football Camp on June 15th through the 18th at 6PM each night. The camp will be at Eisenhower High School, and will teach basic football footwork and technique skills. There will also be a Punt/Pass/Kick competition, as well as a round robin 7-on-7 tournament.Any Warren County youngster ages 8-12 is welcome to sign up. Cost is $5 per player. College newsFor the first time in school history, The Mercyhurst University baseball team - with three Warren grads on the roster and contributing - have advanced to the Divison II College World Series after defeating Millersville, 2-0, on Sunday at Jerry Uht Park in Erie to win the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Championship.The Lakers made it there thanks in large part to efforts made from Warren Area High School graduates Hank Morrison, Matt Jaskolka, and Collin Fantaskey.Jaskolka played a huge role in the win on Sunday. College newsWarren Area High School graduate Nathan Zigler earned an eighth-place finish for Division II Slippery Rock University's men's outdoor track and field team in the decathlon - with a score of 5,398 points - at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships earlier this month in East Stroudsburg. The final result was impressive considering Zigler was disqualified from the 110-meter hurdles, his best event, and recorded a score of zero for that discipline.
