Sedon helps Pitt-Bradford to No. 2 seed in AMCC

BRADFORD – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women’s volleyball team defeated Pitt-Greensburg in straight sets Saturday in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference match and the team’s final game of the regular season.

With the win, the Panthers finish the season 14-12 overall and 7-2 in AMCC matches, tied for first place in the conference with Penn State-Altoona.

As the No. 2 seed, the Panthers earn a first-round bye and will take on the winner of No. 3 Penn State-Behrend and No. 6 Mount Aloysius in the semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 4. Both the AMCC semifinals and championship match will be at the No. 1 seed Penn State-Altoona.

The Panthers’ semifinals match will be the second of the two games at Penn State-Altoona on Saturday, starting at 4:30 p.m. If the Panthers win, they will play in the championship match on Sunday, Nov. 5, at 1 p.m.

Former Warren Area High School player, Kaitlin Sedon, is in her 2nd year on the team as an outside hitter. UPB is playing for their second straight conference title and a bid for in the NCAA Division III championship tournament.
