Girls Soccer: Slippery Rock at Warren (D-10 Class AA playoffs, first round)

Volleyball results

In Warren’s volleyball match against Meadville on Tuesday, Paige Wilson had 16 kills and 25 digs. Also leading the Lady Dragons were Kaitlin Sedon (15 kills 13 digs), Haley Nelson (9 kills 10 digs, 3 aces), Ellie Lobdell (34 assists) Megan Wortman (4 kills), Haley Tuller (4 kills) and Hunter Uplinger (9 digs).

“We played tentatively at times and the little mistakes caught up with us,” said Warren coach Mike Dolan. “We had good chances to win both games three and four but didn’t execute in crucial situations. We’ll have to regroup for Titusville on Thursday.”

The JV lost 21-25, 15-25. Lydia Latimer had 4 kills and 2 aces, while Paige Conklin added 2 kills and Laura Lucks 6 assists.

Youngsville was defeated by Saegertown on Tuesday in three games, 23-25, 14-25 and 22-25.

Elyssa Horn finished with 40 digs and seven service points, Ali Ishman had 12 digs, Jada Rounds had nine blocks and Abby Carr had five blocks.

“Overall as a team they played really well,” said Lady Eagles’ coach Bev Fox. “It was one of our better games this season.”

Erin Dunn had seven service points in a 15-25, 13-25 junior varsity loss. Megan Foley and Taylor Walters had six and five service points, respectively.

Youngsville will close out the season Thursday at home against Cambridge Springs.

Emily Wheeler scored 14 points as Eisenhower Blue defeated Tidioute 39-19. Shelby Kuzminksi added eight points, Alexis Courtney six, Madi Green and Allie Mineweaser four and Rachel Frederick one.

Nakiesha Crouse had 17 of Tidioute’s 19 points. Shelby Proctor had the other two.

Dylan McNeal scored four touchdowns and had three interceptions to lead Superior to the win. Andy Kerr had three TDs, while Paul Campbell had two TDs and Scott Newton a receiving TD for the Rebels.
