City Council members are making the right move pursuing a $500,000 state grant to help pay for work to Mulberry Park. Improvements to Mulberry Park include bringing the park into compliance with current Americans with Disabilities Act requirements that include new playground equipment, a new pavilion, benches, sidewalk, grill, lighting, landscape trees and an ADA-compliant parking area. Given its prior misclassification of two-tenths of an acre of land behind the Days Inn on Route 6, we’re not sure the Warren City Council had much of a choice when it came to approving a non-surface horizontal drilling proposal for the site.
