Annual water quality report is worth a read
With growing national attention on drinking water safety, many people are asking, “Is my water safe?” For residents of Warren County, that answer is readily available in your annual Water Quality Report–a simple, reliable way to understand what’s in the water coming into your home and what it means for your family.
We encourage every resident to take a few minutes to review this report, also known as a Consumer Confidence Report. It’s one of the easiest ways to stay informed and feel confident in the water you use every day.
These reports are designed to give you clear, straightforward information about your drinking water, including its source–whether local groundwater or surface water. They also share sampling results from the past year, giving you an easy-to-understand view of your water quality and the confidence that it continues to meet state and federal standards designed to protect public health.
Delivering clean, safe water requires more than testing–it takes ongoing, proactive investment.
Last year alone, Pennsylvania American Water invested more than $722 million statewide to strengthen water and wastewater treatment facilities and replace aging pipelines.
Here in Warren County, those investments are at work. Over the last year, we invested $1.2 million in upgrades to replace more than 2,000 feet of water mains. These improvements help ensure our systems remain strong, reliable, and prepared to meet evolving standards, including those addressing PFAS and lead.
While the report captures the results, it’s the day-to-day work behind the scenes–testing, monitoring, maintaining, and improving–that keeps those results consistent. Our team of researchers, scientists, water quality specialists, and plant operators works around the clock to deliver safe, dependable service. That commitment is reflected in these reports–and in the safe, reliable water your family depends on every day.
