Postmaster offers stamp of approval for neighbors
I am heartened to read your newest feature, “Meet Your Neighbor Monday.” It is a wonderful example of the spirit and engagement that makes this community so special.
As the Postmaster, seeing that kind of local pride is exactly why I am so excited to serve the residents here. In rural communities and small towns, the Post Office is a familiar and trusted part of local life — one that helps connect neighbors, supports local businesses, and provides an important public service people rely on every day.
That is not something I take lightly. My goal is to serve Warren with professionalism, respect, and a strong commitment to local engagement. I want our customers to know they have a Postmaster who values service, listens to the community, and understands the importance of a dependable local Post Office.
In fact, our office ranks among the top offices in the region for scanning, customer satisfaction with inquiries about packages, Point of Sale (POS) customer survey overall satisfaction and last mile packages which tracks deliveries to every suburban and rural customer – which is a service solely provided only by the United States Postal Service.
Not only is Warren a great place to live, but it is a great place to work. In fact, we are hosting a job fair, Friday, March 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Warren Post Office, 210 West Third Avenue. We will have Human Resource Specialists on hand to assist with applying online and I’ll be there to answer any questions you may have about making a career with USPS.
As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, it is also a meaningful time to reflect on the institutions that have long connected the country. The Postal Service is proud to continue that work in communities like ours.
It is an honor to serve Warren.
Rick Greeley is postmaster at the Warren Post Office.
