Government decisions often lack in logic

I was watching the news today and they were discussing the vaccines and booster information related to everyone’s health and travel.

It is recommended for the elderly and people with adverse medical conditions to get the shot and exercise caution for their safety. Seems like sound advice.

However you feel about the vaccine and all the hype surrounding the issue, you are encouraged by the government and its leaders to get the shot. Some people feel there is not enough data on the safety and effectiveness of the shot and aren’t getting it and that also seems to be a sound approach to the issue.

Much more research into the effects or counter effects of the drugs are not going to come to light until way out in the future. This also seems sound and reasonable to anyone who is wary of potential outcomes down the road not to mention the many breakthrough cases that are arising and deaths of many around the world. I personally feel the choice should be left in the hands of each individual of whether to get or not get a Covid vaccine for them alone given the growing controversy surrounding the vaccines.

The government should not be forcing anyone to get it if they are not comfortable with getting it. They say you can’t get on a plane or travel without verified card or proof of a negative test. That is overreach in a free society.

Given all that conflicting information that changes quite often these days, you might wonder why our government is forcing citizens to follow their mandates regarding the shots for workers across the country. They are also making travelers entering the U.S. have verified proof so as not to bring more COVID across the border. This also seems to be a reasonable sound approach.

So please tell me why in its infinite wisdom, our President and the rest of the leaders are not mandating vaccines be given to the illegal immigrants upon entry and being released across the country when regular travelers, many businesses, teachers, health-care workers, police, military, and many others in our “free” society are forced to take it or lose their job.

That doesn’t seem like sound advice at all, but it is overreach. Are dictators running the show? The leaders need to get their priorities straight and its citizens alone to think and decide for themselves about the shot. Where is the logic in our government?
