Dear Editor,
Question: Did Donald Trump's 2016 comment, "I love the poorly educated" refer to the Fox News misinformed, poorly educated people? Was the information deficient, poorly educated people who are too busy and/or too disinterested or too lazy to follow current events his love interest? Or both?
There are plenty of them in Washington D.C., and in both Warren County and in Pennsylvania's rural northern tier, a deep red area. Nationwide, polls show their numbers have strung to approximately one out every three. The low 30% is higher than the 20-some percent of Pennsylvanians who have a college degree.
That's not to say more people are earning a college degree but a breakthrough is happening. A breakthrough due to the realization of the $50 gas fill up, the decreasing value of the paycheck, the emphasis on D.C. gilded gold Trump projects, the lies, the Iran war mess, an out of control ICE, the claiming "affordability" a hoax, and the working families' gradual slide downward while seeing the gap grow wider.
I wonder if the poorly educated are aware of the unprecedented White House corruption.
Do the politicians know? Highly likely. Or do not care? Probably. Or feel the pressure to conform and are too weak to resist? Most likely. Or do they go along to protect the best job they ever had. Most likely. There is the possibility the politicians have no problem with the above. The "poorly educated" batch of supporting politicians need to be replaced. These are not the kind of people one want in the foxhole with you with Iranian missiles flying overhead. It's time for "rubber stamp" U.S. Rep. Glenn Thompson to go.
ANSWER: Being better educated and aware is not enough. Make your November vote count. Oust the long term politicians who have not spoken out, who have a 95% Trump voting record helping to make the above mess a reality.
There are good replacements waiting for your support.
