On behalf of the Event Sub-Committee of the Warren County Democratic Committee, I would like to express my appreciation and thank all of the people who attended and supported the Soup-er Voter Celebration on April 20. It was a huge success due to the enthusiasm, participation, donations, and excellent attendance!

We were also fortunate to have candidates and dynamic speakers attend. Thank you to all who attended, donated, and helped make it a great fundraiser. It is the best one I have ever attended!

Don’t miss our summer event called Grassroots Gathering and Grill. This fundraiser picnic will be on Saturday, July 27, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Larimer Park in Russell.

Once again, federal and state candidates will attend and you may meet and mingle with them. Come enjoy grilled hamburgers with all kinds of toppings including chili, as well as hot dogs, vegetarian hot dogs, plus a variety of salads and side dishes, then there’s cake for dessert.

Children 16 and under are free, adults are $25 per person. Go to warrendems.com to pay online to use the QR code. You may also pay by check by writing a check payable to Warren County Dem Committee and mailing the check to Warren County Dems – PO Box 862 Warren PA 16365. On the memo line of the check please put “For Picnic” and also list your phone number.

Debate truths

Dear Editor,

The recent debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden was very interesting. Biden blotched the debate, whereas, Trump was full of lies.

Do we need a liar in the White House or a man with integrity? The coming presidental election will answer that important question. Stay tuned!
