How long can this nation withstand evil forces?

Dear Editor,

Since the founding of our nation there have been many, many changes. Miraculously by the Lord’s timing of my entrance (birth) into this world I have seen, experienced and been blessed by many of these changes. I have also seen the opposite side of the coin so to speak with some changes not so good. I do believe we all see both side of the preverbal coin in our lives. The question is, “what do we do or how do we handle these changes, do we address them or ignore them.”

As we entered the 21st century there has been a rapid increase of changes that are in opposition to the principles, ethics and moral values given to us by our founding fathers. A few years ago we elected a leader who stated his objective was to fundamentally change this nation and if you look around you will see he has accomplished a lot.

Many years age this was written about this day, age and time:

“Remember that there will be difficult times in the last days. People will be selfish, greedy, boastful, and conceited; they will be insulting, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, and irreligious; they will be unkind, merciless, slanderers, violent, and fierce; they will hate the good; they will be treacherous, reckless, and swollen with pride; they will love pleasure rather than God; they will hold to the outward form of our religion, but reject its real power. Keep away from such people.” If one is honest or forth-right with themselves, approaching or middle aged, regardless of political persuasion should be able see many of these changes that have taken place in our nation.

In the last couple of years, we have had some profound changes that have had devastating impact on many with more radical changes proposed. Among these were numerous changes made concerning the Petroleum based Energy Industry that has an effect on every facet of our lifestyle contributing to driving inflation to record heights. There are millions of illegal aliens streaming into our country undeterred along with an ever-increasing flow of illegal drugs. Trillions have been added to the national debt, crime is running rampant and so on.

How long can this nation withstand the evil forces coming against it from the inside as well as the outside…? It is said, “that all it takes for evil to prosper is for good men to do nothing.”

Can you see it, are you looking, do you care, who are you…?

Jesus said, “you shall know them by their fruits.”

Looked at your fruits lately…? If not, maybe you should…!

United States of America is a nice title

Dear Editor,

I recently received a letter from another state. What surprised me was the last line in the address which I have never seen in this kind of communication: United States of America. It would be nice to think that is true, but unfortunately since 2020 and the emergence of the Biden administration, we are more polarized in this country than any time in the last fifty plus years, possibly longer.

The lunacy running rampant in this country is incomprehensible; the “woke” agenda is destroying basic sexuality, fundamentals of the family, and is changing what is not desired into normal behavior. Our children are not learning enough reading and math; they are being taught unacceptable ways of expressing themselves, not really understanding the repercussions that will eventually engulf them.

It would be refreshing if the democrats would concentrate on overturning the policy blunders that have occurred in the last two years; the majority of the population does not want woke policies, but it appears to be getting worse because they are constantly pushed onto the American people. Money talks; the money from democratic donors that is financing public venues is vandalizing this country. We have problems here and abroad. Our nation looks weak and unstable; we have no southern border. Criminals are emboldened whereas the victim is overlooked. Drugs and possible terrorists are entering at an alarming rate, while Joe Biden sits in his Delaware mansion producing new stories about his gloried past that carry little basis in truth.

The democrat socialists are in the process of demonizing the justice system. They target anyone who disagrees with their ideology, putting themselves in the position of becoming dictators because they fear anyone they can’t control.

We have survived two years of chaos; hopefully, we can manage another two. In 2024 we need to elect a NEW leader, someone who can turn this country back to the people who care about what happens. Our position on the global stage is threatened, and in order to ensure our future existence we need a real leader who can deal with the situations both here and throughout the world. We don’t need a president who looks compromised by family ties overseas and will follow only the dictates of the party elitists; we don’t need a vice president that is unqualified to take the reins of leadership, if a situation arises that makes it necessary to do so.

God’s approval has always been a blessing for our nation, but the way things are going, can we expect it to continue? In my opinion, it is doubtful.

Sheffield is a traffic mess during school hours

Dear Editor,

Are certain teachers, staff and students at Sheffield High School exempt from mandated traffic regulations when traffic advisory signals are in effect during school hours ? Recently, I have witnessed several vehicles leaving the parking lot in front of the school rather fast and not stopping at the stop sign and entering route 6 west in front of motorists obeying the 15 mph speed limit. There were some near collisions. Need I say more?
