Overreach continues

Dear Editor,

Considering the narratives around the polar opposite views of the 2020 election and with the 2022 midterms in view I have come to a rather disheartening conclusion. If the election was indeed stolen, then the Democrats won a coup, and we are now experiencing the end of Constitutional freedoms and suppression of political dissent and opposition.

Or, if the Democrats legitimately won, we are now experiencing the end of Constitutional freedoms and suppression of political dissent and opposition. So that argument is now truly moot. I would like to hold out a shred of hope that the upcoming elections will be fair and free. But continued and egregious government overreach, the signature characteristic of the Biden administration, leaves little room for confidence it that regard.

With that in mind it is inevitable that, what we were subjected to through the iron fist of mandates, is only the beginning. That and the social engineering by the Leftist Social Democrats and the media propaganda machine to pit Americans against one another will create an onerous state of affairs over the next few years. This faction has tasted unrestrained power and the extent they will go to in order to maintain that power likely will come in multiple contrived forms of government mandates. These will come under the guise of national security, the label of Patriotism, and/or described as “for the “good of the nation.” The term “unprecedented” is already being twisted to make these actions somehow acceptable; expect it come up more often.

Anyone not willing to comply will be labeled racist, terrorist, phobic, misogynist, hater, denier and conspiracy theorists. Oh, wait, we are already there with that. Mandates will be nothing more than “legal actions” to oppress, suppress, and control the population as our freedoms and rights are stripped from us. And to all my friends on the political left if you think you won’t be subjected to the same plight it’s already too late for you.

We must never give up the Declaration of Independence mandate to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness. There are only two types of mandates. One for the sake of dictatorial government control and suppression or the mandate that built America. Yes, the one paid for by the blood of our Forefathers, for our freedom, individual rights, and the mandate that comes from the people not against the people. May God Bless America in this hour of our most earnest need.
