Choices with life
Dear Editor,
In the July 29 issue of the Times Observer, columnist Star Parker incitingly discusses the comparison of the Lincoln-Douglas debate of 1854 to the present discussion of abortion rights.
She writes “Is our ultimate value that a woman have the option to destroy her unborn child, or is our ultimate value sanctity of life.”
May I suggest that the more important choice is omitted; that the woman’s right to conceive an unwanted child be considered.
How many abortions result from promiscuity and questionable relationships?
