Dear Editor,

This week was National School Choice Week.

As a parent of two enrolled at Reach Cyber Charter School, a unique, tuition-free Pennsylvania statewide online charter school, I am constantly reminded of the importance of school choice.

With the challenging last few years, I’m extremely grateful that my family has the opportunity to choose an education option that works for both of my children.

Every student has the option to choose from traditional public schools, to public charter schools, public magnet schools, private schools, online academies, and homeschooling to find the perfect fit.

For my family, cyber school was the best choice because we wanted a school where our children can thrive with hands-on learning.

My children are in first grade and kindergarten at Reach Cyber and their lessons are tailored to their style of learning. The curriculum is very engaging and the lessons are STEM-based. Not only do our children have live lessons that they attend, but there are a ton of in-person events for the students to meet and hang out with other students in the area.

They are only one example of the many students thriving in the personalized learning environment thanks to school choice.
