During this time of gratitude and thanksgiving, we would like to thank the following people in the Warren community.

Scott and Kelly Newton organized and implemented a COVID booster event that is ongoing with the help of the Allegheny Community Center and Experience, Inc. Warren/Forest Agency on Aging. We were able to register on line and set a date for our COVID booster vaccine.

Upon entering the Allegheny Community Center, we were given clipboards with the documentation and several young people circulated to help those in correctly filling out the information. We were directed to the large space where vaccines were distributed. After entering the vaccination area, we were given the booster by the medical personnel and then sat at a table socially distanced in order to wait in case of a reaction. Kim from Agency on Aging distributed bottles of water to each of us waiting out our time to leave. Three hundred people a day are receiving their booster vaccines on Thursdays at the Allegheny Community Center. More are receiving their boosters at Gaughn’s Drug Store.

Thank you to Scott and Kelly Newton from Gaughn’s, the staff at Allegheny Community Center, staff from Agency on Aging, as well as the medical folks who gave injections and the young people who helped fill out the proper paper work. You are helping to keep the community healthy and safe during the time of this pandemic.
