Write-in option for school

Dear Editor,

There are many critical issues facing this country, one of which is critical race theory. This ideology is a growing concern to many parents who do not want this taught in their children’s schools.

Several school boards throughout the nation are being scrutinized by parents in order to determine whether these ideas are being taught in the schools their children attend.

Closer to home, there is a contest in Region II for the Warren County School Board. These areas are: Boroughs of Clarendon and Tidioute and Townships of Cherry Grove, Conewango, Deerfield, Eldred, Limestone, Mead, Pleasant, Sheffield, Triumph and Watson.

As a member of this region, I would like to share some information vital to this election.

There is a candidate in the race who is running in both parties. She is a young adult, in college in another part of the state with a home address here. She may/may not return to this area when studies are completed. I do not know of any specific qualifications.

Since the spring another candidate has emerged. Jenn Lauffenburger is a lifelong resident of Warren County. She is a mother, approved substitute teacher in the Warren County School District, staff member of after-school and summer-school programs. Lauffenburger is an advocate for school choice, fiscal responsibility, personal freedom and patriotism. As a board member she would bring experience in private, public, cyber, and homeschooling.

Please take the time to write her name on the ballot. Her election would ensure continued growth in the Warren County School District.

Norma Bankoske,

Warren
