Road work ignored

Dear Editor,

If you travel Deerfield township roads, proceed with caution. Due to potholes, the road is in deplorable condition and is unsafe.

In addition, long periods of time during this past winter no maintenance was done, not even one piece of grit. The road was a hazardous sheet of ice not fit to walk on, let alone operate a motor vehicle. For some reason, the Deerfield Township supervisors continue to ignore these problems even though they are in receipt of state gas tax dollars intended for road maintenance. Said funds are paid by members of the community.

Residents of the township along with other property owners attend township meetings, point out these problems and are ignored.

If anyone knows of an authority which could hold the township accountable, please inform the constituents. This is an urgent matter than needs immediate attention. Lives are in danger and the election is too far away.
