Bargain worth the price
Dear Editor,
I read in the Times Observer about the issue between Deerfield Township and Tidioute Fire Department. If Deerfield can’t afford $2,400 a year for fire services they should be made to show their tax balances. That is public knowledge, is it not? $2,400 divided by 320 residents amounts to $7.50 per year or 2.5 cents per day!
Deerfield supervisors need a wake-up call and soon.
