Support for responders

Dear Editor,

The Warren Area Ministerial Association (WAMA), an organized fellowship of pastors, priests, and lay leaders in Warren County, would like to publicly express its support of and appreciation for the first responders in our community in these uncertain times. We know of the stress and pressure that is being felt on a daily basis in this time of COVID.

WAMA offers this prayer for all involved:

Dear Heavenly Father,

During this season of Thanksgiving, we give thanks for those who serve as first responders in our community. We thank you for the police in our county who serve and protect the citizens of Warren County. We thank you for our firefighters and all our emergency service personnel who respond to the calls of our neighbors when they have need. We ask for your protection as they serve. We ask for your blessing upon their families who often carry extra stress and concern while their loved ones serve. Recognizing the shortage of firefighters in our nation, we pray that you might move upon the hearts of individuals in our community to volunteer. We ask that you guard all our first responders physically, mentally, and emotionally as they serve. May you move upon the people in our county to regularly remember our first responders in prayer.

In Jesus Name, Amen.
