A lost vote

Dear Editor,

This letter is to express our deep concern in regard to the recent election and how it was conducted with such fraud and disregard for the Constitutional right of the American people to choose their candidate without interference or fear of repercussion.

This is the first time we have ever registered and voted, because we felt strongly about President Trump and what he has accomplished for our country, despite four years of strong opposition and the wasting of millions of dollars of taxpayer money. We know many other people who were also first-time voters.

Were those votes for naught? How do your readers feel about having their vote literally flipped to the opposite candidate, no matter what their affiliation. It’s more than disconcerting, it is absolute sedition.

We have been preached at for years that our vote counts. “If you don’t vote, you can’t complain,” our well meaning friends and family have said. Well, we think that this last election proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the only vote that has counted in a long while is the one that unknown parties choose.

The thought that our vote, which is our sacred right to give, was flipped and given to another candidate just sickens and infuriates us. What is even more upsetting is our elected officials total indifference to the American people and the freedoms bestowed upon us by the Constitution of the United States.

If a candidate wins fairly, without interference from outside actors or meddling with voting machinery and its software, then that win is the voice of the majority of the citizens and must be accepted as truth. In this case, however, the fraud is glaringly obvious and very concerning.

Rigged machines, algorithms flipping votes, literally thousands of votes by deceased individuals and votes that were scanned multiple times for one person, as well as illegally halting the count and blocking members of all parties to view the count at a reasonably observable distance is absolutely wrong and must be investigated and corrected!

These facts are only the tip of the iceberg of the fraud that was carried out in this election.

As our paid elected officials, we should demand that the necessary steps be taken to find the truth of the real outcome so that the American people can be confident in the persons that they have elected.

J.B. Dutchess,

Youngsville
